“Ocean floodlights” is the beautiful name that Phu Yen people give to ocean tuna eyes. The name of the headlight comes from the fact that tuna eyes can see very far, weighing 200-300 grams/eye, as big as a hand-held flashlight.

At first glance, many visitors feel a bit scared, but once they have tasted it, they will remember it later.

Phu Yen fishermen can catch big tuna 40-50kg (Photo: Trung Thi).

Most of the tuna meat is taken to the factory to be processed for export, while the eyes will be sold to restaurants (Photo: Trung Thi).

To create accents and enhance the taste of tuna eyes, many restaurants put alcohol around the crockery, then light it on fire to create a new and beautiful feeling. Fire keeps fish eyes hot, enjoy more delicious.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Sy – a chef in Tuy Hoa city revealed that Phu Yen is the cradle, the origin of tuna fishing, which annually catches thousands of tons of tuna. Previously, fish eyes were too many, so fishermen often abandoned them, but seeing that it was a waste, local people researched and created attractive dishes.

Tuna eyes are stored in a crock pot, the fire outside looks very beautiful (Photo: Trung Thi).

Initially, the tuna eye dish was mainly seasoned with a few common spices and then boiled for 15-20 minutes. Later, in order to increase the value of the dish, many restaurants have marinated the fish’s eyes with traditional medicines such as jujube, goji berries, shiitake, ginseng, ba nut, ginger… These side dishes are not not only creates a strange taste, has anti-weld effect, good digestion, but also keeps the dish from being fishy.

When the tuna eyes are finished processing, diners will see the hot smoke carrying the aroma of fish, hot spices awakening the taste buds. This dish is served with some spicy vegetables, perilla, chopped herbs and a few roasted peanuts. The price for each bowl of “headlights” ranges from 45-50 thousand VND.

“Enjoying the specialty of “ocean floodlights” in Phu Yen is not only new, but also nutritious for the body after an energy-intensive multi-day trip” – chef Nguyen Tan Sy shared .

In addition to the “headlight”, tuna fillet with mustard is also a dish that diners should not miss when visiting and traveling in Phu Yen.

Tuna fillet is also a delicious dish that is hard to ignore when traveling to Phu Yen (Photo: Trung Thi).

Tuna is cut into bite-sized pieces, then placed on ice-cold plates to keep the fish fresh. This dish is served with spicy cabbage leaves, perilla, peanuts … dipped in soy sauce (soy sauce) dissolved with mustard. Currently, tuna fillet is sold for 250-350 thousand VND/kg.($1=24,000 VND)

The “Pink Balls” Make Millions By Running Boats On The Sea

With the sea and island terrain, “Pearl island” Phu Quoc has many famous attractions, one of which is Hon Thom, Hon Roi… located on the south coast, An Thoi ward, Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang.

There are many types of transportation from the mainland to the islands such as cable cars, canoes, cruise ships, and boats. In particular, the boat is a means of transport that has been present for a long time at An Thoi seaport, currently, most of the boating jobs are carried out by women.

An Thoi seaport is a place of livelihood for many people, including women who work as boatmen (Photo: Bao Ky).

At 8 am, our group was present at An Thoi port to rent a boat to Hon Roi. Seeing customers need to take the ferry, a woman in her 40s, wearing a coat, covering her body, came to “put a price”. Thuan bought and sold, we boarded the boat of the female driver, Nguyen Thi Da, an excellent driver with more than 20 years of experience.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Da took the delegation to visit Hon Roi. This is a small island located in the An Thoi archipelago – Phu Quoc (Photo: Bao Ky).

Ms. Da said that the day before, she ran a boat in Long Xuyen City (An Giang), but because of the lack of money, more than a decade ago, she and her family went to Phu Quoc to work.

“The profession of ferrying has been eaten with blood, so if I don’t do this job, I don’t know what to do now. Compared to running a boat on the river, running at sea is much more dangerous. Big waves, high winds, rough seas or rain. The sudden pouring of water is something that talented people like us have to face. But in exchange for this job for a stable income, I try to do it”, Ms. Da expressed.

The boat-running profession does not have a day off, the more guests, the “bumper”. On weekdays, Ms. Da earns about 300,000-500,000 VND, especially on holidays and Tet, she sometimes earns millions of VND. Her whole family of 4 people lives by running boats and going to the sea (Photo: Bao Ky).

According to the female ferry driver U50, there are many types of boating here. In the tourist season, most ferry drivers like her have to work overtime from early morning until late at night to finish work. Just brought guests to the island, and a customer called to pick them up. Even though she has no time to eat at work, she just wishes she could be as busy every day.

“When there was a storm, the sea was rough and there were no visitors, I switched to carrying goods or carrying fishermen on rafts to the shore to go to the market and vice versa”, Ms. Da shared.

From An Thoi seaport, visitors will go to Hon Roi, and Hon Thom to visit, eat and experience many sports such as canoeing to fly over the sea. Boat rental fees range from 300,000 to 500,000 VND/way. Compared to renting a canoe or a cruise ship, it will be about 2-3 times cheaper (Photo: Bao Ky).

Lesser in age and profession than Ms. Da, female ferryman Nguyen Thi Hang (living in An Thoi ward) confided that the profession of running a ferry carrying tourists at An Thoi port helps her earn money to go in and out to help her husband.

Ms. Hang said that she worked as a housewife before, but since the Covid-19 epidemic, her economic life was difficult, so she ran a boat to earn more money to help her husband. For the past few months, due to the influence of storms and storms, Hang only earns about 300,000 VND per day.

Nguyen Thi Hang has been driving a boat at An Thoi port for more than a year (Photo: Bao Ky).

Running the boat outdoors continuously, there is no time to rest because of having to “catch customers”, but that is not the hardest thing that the female ferrymen have to go through.

Ms. Hang said: “In the first days of running the boat, I was scared and extremely tired. Every time the small boat was hit by the waves, it wobbled, swayed, and had to stand firmly, clamping on the steering wheel of the machine.

The speed of the boat is not as fast as the canoe, so it takes 20 to 40 minutes to carry passengers out to the island. When I come home at night, my body is tired and sore, but I get used to it after working hard.”

According to the female ferry drivers, in the past, the boat business was very good because there were few canoes and tourist boats. Most visitors take a boat to the island. At the peak of the profession, there were dozens of female talents working at the pier, but now there are more than 10 people attached. Most are middle-aged women, the youngest is also over 30 years old.

The wharf is quite empty on bad weather days (Photo: Bao Ky).

Mr. Pham Ha (fisherman living in An Thoi port) said that in addition to women, boating at An Thoi port, there are many men. Due to its dangerous nature, men often run boats to pick up passengers at night. Whether night or day, whether female or male, in the face of unexpected dangers from the sea, it must be brave people who dare to follow the profession and stick with it for so long.

Returning To Raising A Species That Only Eats Bamboo, The Farmer Was Surprised By The Results

Mr. Nguyen Gia Chinh (40 years old, living in Dong Hoa village, Tan Dan commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province) was born in a poor farmer family , had to leave his hometown to start a business early. In 2023, he was introduced by his friends to visit the goat farming model in Quang Ngai province. Seeing that the conditions for raising this animal are quite suitable in his hometown, he decided to return to start a business.

“I also struggled and struggled in many provinces and cities in the South and the North, longing to return to my hometown to settle down and get rich in my own land. It was suitable, so he decided to return to his hometown to make a career with this type of animal,” Chinh said.

Returning to his hometown to start a business raising children, Mr. Chinh has obtained unexpected results (Photo: Xuan Sinh).

After having fully prepared the conditions, Mr. Chinh began to implement his fostering project. At the beginning of 2023, he bought 100 broodstock to try farming in Dong Hoa village, Tan Dan commune, in the form of a farm. Over time, the herd of bats grows and develops healthily, giving high economic efficiency.

Mr. Chinh regularly checks the health of the bats (Photo: Xuan Sinh).

The animal cage is also designed simply, can be built of concrete or use floor tiles attached together in size 60x60cm, airtight, low noise, not exposed to direct sunlight. Bats have the characteristic of preferring to be in low light, the more secluded the rearing area, the faster they grow.

According to Mr. Chinh, to successfully raise a dog, it requires the owner to be really dedicated and to monitor the animals regularly. The time to separate the cubs and pair the parents must be calculated accordingly. The selection of pairing also needs to be noted, males and females are not of the same bloodline, the quality and quantity of offspring are higher. On average, each year, the female herd gives birth to 3-4 litters, each litter 2-3 children. After nearly 2 years of working with the profession, Mr. Chinh increased the total herd from the original 100 to more than 500, of which more than 200 were mother’s.

Dui grow fast, giving birth to 3-4 litters a year (Photo: Xuan Sinh).

“Picklings are about 2-3 months old, reaching weight 400-500g, and can sell seeds 1-1.2 million VND/pair. For commercial pups, rearing time is 6-7 months, can reach weight. 1.2-1.8kg/head, selling for about 500,000 thousand VND/kg On average, every year, after deducting all expenses, I earn nearly 500 million VND. This is an achievement that I have never seen before. expected,” said Nguyen Gia Chinh.($1=25,000 VND)

Not only improving the family’s income, he also created jobs for 2 local workers with a salary of 6 million VND/person/month . Chinh also said that in the near future he will expand the scale of the farm, and is willing to share his experience of raising this animal with people.

Piglets raised for 5-6 months with a weight of 1-1.2kg can be sold (Photo: Xuan Sinh).

Mr. Tran Van Kinh, Chairman of Tan Dan Commune Farmers’ Association, said that Mr. Nguyen Gia Chinh’s model of rearing is a new model in the locality. Through evaluation, the model brings good efficiency, low investment cost, does not need a lot of area, does not pollute the environment, but the economic value is very high.

“This is the largest model of pole farming in the locality. Currently, the output is favorable and the price is favorable, so it has brought a high and stable source of income for the family. Compared to rice farming, pole farming brings income. 50-60 times higher,” Kinh said

Cấu Trúc ‘The More…, The More…’

(Reading time: 5 – 9 minutes)

The more she gets to know him, the more she hates him. (Càng biết rõ anh ta, cô ấy càng ghét anh ta)

The more I heard of him, the more I sympathise with him.

The more she grows up, the more beautiful she becomes. (Càng lớn, con bé càng trở nên xinh đẹp)

The longer the play lasts, the more bored the audience becomes.

The more severe the judge, the harsher the sentence will be.

The more students practise writing, the more correctly they can use English grammar.

The sooner they go, the better it is.

The faster you go, the earlier you arrive.

Trường hợp 4: The more + noun phrase

The more people that you let into your life, the more that can just walk right out. ( Đây là câu thoại của Lara Jean, nữ chính của TV series nổi đình đám trên Netflix ‘To all the boys I’ve loved before’. Bạn thấy ở vế đầu, sau ‘the more’ chỉ là một cụm danh từ với mệnh đề ‘that you let into your life’ bổ nghĩa cho danh từ ‘people’ đứng phía trước)

The more money (that) he earns, the more personal financial stability (that) he achieves.

The more money (that) you spend, the less money (that) you save.

The more time (that) you spending working, the less happiness and joy (that) you may have in life.

The more people that come to the party, the more food we will need hoặc The more people coming to the party, the more food we will need

  The less…

Tương tự với cấu trúc ‘the more.., the more..’ là cấu trúc ‘the less…, the less…’ với các quy tắc y như trên, hoặc là kết hợp ‘the more…, the less…’ và ngược lại.

The less people work, the less stress they are under.

The less friends she has, the less she feels annoyed.

The more he insisted he was innocent, the less they seemed to believe him.

The more you dump materials in the warehouse, the less you leave vacant space available for useful things to be kept.

The Beauty Of Vietnamese Women Along The Country

On the occasion of Vietnamese Women’s Day October 20, photographer Cao Ky Nhan (Ho Chi Minh City) shared a set of photographs “Colors of Vietnamese women’s life rhythm” captured by him during his photo work trips across the region.

The picture is the moment when the Mong women are screening their corn seeds and carrying their babies on their backs to sleep soundly in Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai. Maize is an important food crop in the life and economic development of the Mong people. Every harvest season, corn is dried on the porch, waits for it to dry, before it can be taken to separate the seeds and prepare different dishes.

During a trip to Mu Cang Chai, the author caught the image of the old lady smiling with the background of blooming triangular flowers. Mu Cang Chai is not only famous for its terraced fields during the September-October rice season, but also has triangular flower gardens in full bloom on the hillsides. This flower is most beautiful when near, turning from white to pinkish.

The scene of a barber being an old woman happily practicing on the sidewalk of Hanoi.

Girl check-in at Tam Coc boat station, where visitors are taken to visit Tam Coc – Bich Dong and admire the two sides of Ngo Dong river in Ninh Binh.

A Hue girl in a white ao dai with the old house scene. In addition to the Perfume River and Truong Tien Bridge, when mentioning Hue, visitors are also impressed by girls wearing dreamy ao dai when taking outdoor photos or attending important events and holidays.

Ethnic women pounding rice in the early sun is a typical image that tourists can encounter while traveling in Kon Tum villages.

In addition to the famous coastal city of Quy Nhon, visitors can go to the countryside to experience, take photos of An Thai noodle and cake making village in Hoai Nhon, Binh Dinh.

To make a batch of noodles must go through many stages. However, these stages are not too sophisticated, each facility, each household has its own way of doing. Usually, the vermicelli or cake will dry after 4-5 hours if the sun is nice. Near the Lunar New Year, their working atmosphere becomes more bustling, timely meeting market demand.

Girl smiling while harvesting grass to feed cattle in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan.

“Along with my passion for photography, I often spend time traveling, especially capturing the rhythm of the countryside life from North to South. The moments of a woman’s working life rhythm are taking place every day, but familiar but authentic, close and emotional every time I work, ”Mr. Nhan said.

The scene of women harvesting and washing lilies is like a natural painting in a flood field in Long An. Water lilies are grown mostly in the West River. Guns grown in ponds often have fat stems. Wild guns (or ghost rifles), which only grow in perennial fields and swamps, often have 2 – 5 m long stalks and purple and white flowers.

The scene of a woman picking lilies is a common sight in the floodplains. But through the artistic photo angle from above, this image comes to life and has won many awards for Vietnamese photographers.

A woman drying bricks in Mang Thit brick village , Vinh Long. This brick village is over 100 years old, and is the largest producer of red bricks and bricks in the Mekong Delta. There are still about 1,300 brick kilns, stretching over an area of 3,000 hectares, most of which are located along the Thay Cai canal to the section adjacent to the Co Chien River – a branch of the Mekong River.
